2. The 3-Paragraph Formula

To write an effective report, organize the main body into these three distinct parts:

Paragraph 1 (Introduction): What was the event/incident? When and where did it take place? Who was the chief guest? (This should be crystal clear within the first 2-3 lines).

Paragraph 2 (Details): How did the event start? What were the key discussions or what exactly happened during the incident? What was the reaction of the people present?

Paragraph 3 (Conclusion): How did the event end (e.g., vote of thanks or final decision)? If it is an accident/crime report, mention what action the government or police are currently taking.
