Tense Revisited 

Tense is a grammatical concept whereas time is a continuous flow which is measured in seconds, minutes, hours, days and year.  There are two define tenses Present and Past. With the help of these two tenses we express three times, Present,Past and Future.

Simple present structure S MV1/MV5 O

He goes to school.

You go to school.

Rule 1

Habitual Action, Repeated action, Regular action 

He gets up early in the morning.

He always goes to school at 10' o clock.

Always, often, usually, generally, everyday sometimes, these are time expressing adverbs. Time expressing adverbs are used to express habitual action.

The Sun rises in the east.

Water boils at 100 degree celsius.

Emotion, feelings and mental activity,

He trusts me. He believes in God. I feel hungry.

I am married. He has two children. We are Indians.

Fixed plan, principle

Two and two makes four.

The Prime Minister comes here on 15 August 2026.

ବର୍ଷା ଋତୁରେ ଚାରାଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଶୀଘ୍ର ବଢନ୍ତି।

ମୁଁ ମାନୁଛି ଯେ ତୁମେ ଜଣେ ସାଧୁ ପ୍ରକୃତିର ଲୋକ।

ଆମେ ସାଧାରଣତଃ ୧୦ଟା ବେଳେ ସ୍କୁଲକୁ ଯାଉଁ।
